Is it safe??pop up blocker
System restores are safe, but it seems that the date you restored to removed any software you installed after that date. You can go to www.downoad.com and find a pretty decent free spyware program.
if your computer will let you i say go for it if your computer restarts on you then i say to get a new one or get a computer person
This is my favorite free anti-virus:

You probably do want to get that on your system and let it run a full scan. Do that first before bothering with a restore...although that wouldn't hurt either.
te best and most acredited anti spyware that is free is spybot search and destroy...
www.safer-networking.org/
if im not mistaken a system restore actually wipes the computer... it might be a wireing difficulty in the restart button so be sure to check that out too.
Well if it is a "full" system restore you will lose all your data so if you were looking to that and want to save data then you would for sure want to back it up first.
If you have Windows XP or greater you should be able to restore to an earlier point also which is maybe something u may want to try first. To do that just go to Start, Run and then type in restore. Hit OK and then you can select the option to restore to an earlier point. You can go through ur calendar then and see where u have different restore points.
Unfortunately a system constantly rebooting itself also could be a hardware issue but I'd try the restore first.
