I feel as if i have a virus on my computer but my norton antivirus isnt picking up on anything.?best antivirus software

Here you go as requested some free on-line scans:

Panda - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/Ac...

Trend - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

wdw

Uninstall Norton. It isn't any good. Install ESSET NOD32 - http://www.eset.com/
You can try these virus scanners at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8e... and see which one will help you .
That's probably bios text on boot: harmless

If it does seem to be affecting your computer's speed or performance - or you are having any other abnormal computer issues - just get lavasoft spyware remover [www.lavasoftusa.com]

or AVG free [www.avg.com].

(Both utilities are free and are better than most virus removers).
Try clearing up space on your hardrive. and deleting old and unused programs and files. Then restart and see if it helps.
Text on the start up screen is usually not a virus, as it is part of the hardware boot process, before a virus could even load. There are some good online and freely downloadable tools to do additional scans.

Panda Activescan: http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/s...

Trend Micro Housecall: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

A good program to look at everything that is running on your computer is the Security Task Manager: http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/
i hav norton its crap, try www.superanti spyware and bitdefender free edition 10 . run ccleaner itll optimize your comp al are 100 % free and work (make sure you get the free versions)
Get rid or NortaCrap its the worst AV you'll ever use, i swear. I once had NortaCrap and I switch to Avast! and Avast! picked up 12-16 trojans and viruses. Try Avast! or Kaspersky both are great AV's.
