ok ive been using my laptop and lately weve been getting these pop up ads saying we have a virus so i neeed suggestions on a FREE antivirus program[anti anything is fine is just has to stop viruses first]

AVG and Avast are both free anti vrius program, once you download the program of your choice run an update and scan your computer, also your going to need a antispyware program like spybot, and windows defender both i recommend you download them both, also download a free firewall i use pc tools free firewall its safe and very good

maybe it's to late to remove the virus... you may have to re-format that laptop....
go to trend housecall, run this , it may take up to two hours depending on you connection speed , than download pc cillian by trend micro its the best
avg free is one of the best anti viruses.

These are both excellent programs that won't conflict with other software or the operating system.
Half the world uses AVG, and it's very simple and fast.
Avast has a few extra features, but runs a little slower, and appeals more to the gadget crowd.
